About Craig
As Executive Chairman and fourth-generation principal, Craig Stephens is proud to carry on the legacy of Jas Stephens, established by his great-grandfather in 1923. Craig joined the company in 1993 after returning from London, where he worked as a bond trader and founded the Wandsworth Demons AFL team. Under his leadership, Jas Stephens has flourished, expanding its reach and deepening its commitment to Melbourne's Inner West.
A true local, Craig grew up in Yarraville and continues to be deeply connected to the area. He and his wife, Sue, have raised four adult children who share in their family's love for the Western Bulldogs. When not at work, Craig enjoys staying active; he's completed two marathons, including the iconic New York Marathon, and can be found swimming in Port Phillip Bay twice a week, rain, hail, or shine.
