A lightly populated suburb, just 10 kilometres west of Melbourne’s CBD, this suburb features a diverse international community. With a small pocket of low-density residential in the south, the north is mostly industrial including car dealerships and auto wreckers. The acclaimed mockumentary Kenny, (from 2006) featured the company Splashdown which is located in Brooklyn. Other amenities in the residential part of Brooklyn include a Community Centre and Tennis Courts on Cypress Avenue, as well as small shopping strips on Geelong Road and Eames Avenue.
It’s neighbouring suburbs of Williamstown and Yarraville offer great food destinations and it’s proximity the CBD makes it an easy commute to the city.
